Quiet December 25, 2006
I have been vexed by people who might make me unhappy. I want to be quiet and happy.
I have a friend who takes care of her father pretty much by herself. Her father has Alzheimer's. I spoke with her a few days ago. She had a 'good' day, her father recognized her for the first time in 15 days. I immediately emailed my father upon hearing that. But then I realized how much I love my father.
My father is quiet and amazing. He has many fabulous qualities; he always smells good, his hair is always trimmed, he gives advice that is your best thought but he never says that. He lets almost anyone come to a meal, he always know more than you, but he never flaunts it. He knows about hurt but he never requires a commensurate knowledge, he is brilliant and amazing and I have never met anyone like him. By the way, he is also really cool! I'm not kidding, he is very cool.
My father is the best father of all time. No one can touch him on that!
