Everyone says I look tired. I am tired. Averaging 100 hour work weeks for a month takes a toll. Usually we close for a week, so usually by January I'm not so tired, but closing for such a busy time of the year while everyone has money that has been given to them burning a hole in their pockets, I'm thinking what's a few more days of work? The money is a rush, and it makes up for October when I began to feel like people hated me.

Officially it was the best Xmas season we've had to date. In fact, we hit a number that never seemed possible. A number that my father in law said that if we did he'd kiss my butt in Fountain Square and give me 15 minutes to draw a crowd. Jim has the flu though, and I'd hate for him to get worse so I'm doing the next best thing. I'm soliciting a butt kissing on the internet. I think that crushing that figure by 20% warrants it.

Look in the future in Journal comments for the one butt kissing I've been waiting 10 years for.

My dad called me on the 24th. He told me that he spoke to my mom via email about actually letting the water pass under the bridge and to be the bigger person, stop being so abusive and so on and so forth. My mom according to him didn't want that to happen. Apparently my mom doesn't know what a bridge is, or why anything should pass under it. She's more of the Hoover Dam kind of person. His plea, although it didn't work, was the best present I got, next to the official Olympique Lyonnais team jersey that is impossible to get even on EBay.  Thanks Dad for going to bat for me, and thanks Courtney for spending a ridiculous amount of time hunting down an extremely elusive target.

Merry Christmas to all of you Christians out there, happy Chanukah to all of my Jewish friends, and happy Pagan orgy week to my non-believing pagan friends. The winter solstice truly is a magical time. Love, Peace, and Joy to everyone. Thank you to all of those who carried out silver bags with dragonfly tissue paper out of my store, I love all of you.
