The dogs got their day, and so did I. This morning Courtney suggested that we go to Yellowsprings today with the dogs. When we told the dogs where we were going only Jack knew what we were talking about, Maggie it seems only remembered the fun to be had halfway there. Max is just learning that life isn't just a house and suburbs, but it's the paths we take while living and some of them are damn fun. My journals have been vacant, and deep ruts worn by routine have caused me to become old, and boring. (One customer asked me when I was going to change Senior Jeweler title on my card to Old Jeweler, and Cate told me I was getting crows feet.) Old is fine by me, customers seem to believe more of what I've been saying for the past 15 years, but boring? The fates form of hell for me would be to live in a place devoid of any great pieces of natures creations that amuse, comfort, and heal me. Today the sound of Ohio's one of two clean streams took a few minutes to break through but it did. Courtney walked with me, and at times because of the healing nature found in these woods I would reach to hold her hand, feel her soft gloves and thin fingers through them. Love communicating novels in short time spans, all while to sound of rolling soft, clean smelling water, the color of blue green massaged my soul. Boredom is the same that I've said about it twenty years ago, it's self-inflicted. |
