Writers block sucks, I can not imagine what it would be like to have to depend on writing for income, of course I don't write for income I make jewelry. Still it seems like it's been months since the last time I wrote something. I've spent the summer doing rather fun things. Top on the list would be the beach. The only drag about the beach we visit is that it got voted in as one of the best places on earth for beaches. Our quite placehas turned it a bunch of people showing up because it's the place to be. Not my kind of crowd. I like people who are adventurers, those who happen on a place because instinct guides them. So many of the days were spend dodging a few more cars than usual, but other than that I still got my day of good surf. A day where the ocean became an artist and surrounded by muses pushed forth wave after beautifully constructed wave. It was only one day but it was a fine one, well worth the wait. The shop was blessed by the company of a very good jeweler, Carrie. She was fun to be around didn't shy away from my style of being and made work this summer in the shop really fun. I have more jobs than I know what to do with, which stressed me out a little because it seems as if everyone wants to be put in front of the other people who want to be in front, but if that's the worst of my condition then hell life isn't so bad. Pierson continues to be a great son, playing a good game of soccer, and just being a great human. Courtney and I are well. I don't remember the last time we had a fight. She comes back to work on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to that. Max my dog continues to become a better behaved dog, but there seems to still be a long road still to travel with him. This morning I swear I heard my old girlfriend the wiener dog Maggie come down the stairs. I don't think I miss her because I still think she's around. Mostly I'm focusing on jewelry, and have a few really neat ideas that will take me forever to finish so it keeps my mind working. |
