Courtney spoke in a soft happy tone about bubbles. The bubbles of thought that rise to the surface of the mind and usually pop, she changed and allowed the bubbles to float back from were they came without harmful conflict. She got there by thinking about her private beach and the magic sea shell deposits it gives.

I was listening to her words verbatim, but I think I heard more than the words. The soft sounds tone for tone, their inflections so kind that the gentile nature of what they were had the effect similar to seeing a flower in January.  I saw the coastline, smelled the air and felt the vibration of the soft perfectly formed waves and saw it all stop in the moment of a single instant these were not my thoughts they were hers.

I'm going to the Conservatory. I'm really enjoying the day off.
