A disjointed dream last night but it had one with clear scene. I was in charge of obtaining a new territory for the United States that lay in between Alaska and Canada. While I was up surveying the area I found a river that I've dreamed about before. This river was clean and had beautiful rapids that I was navigating. A man came swimming up to my boat with a Hawaiian sling used for spearing fish and a huge salmon tied to the right side of his rib cage with a small piece of twine. He was independent and in charge, despite the fact that he was swimming in a river that could have easily drowned him. After I passed by him I thought how much I'd like to have those very same survival abilities that the swimming man possessed. While I was thinking about my own survival abilities I was watching salmon run in the river up a waterfall. The currents of the waterfall as I passed them drug me down and pinned me into packed salmon, also trapped by the current. I sat there for a few moments contemplating my death by drowning and decided that I didn't want that so I pushed myself up to the surface.

They say water represents emotion, I can see that given my feelings before I fell asleep, but what place do the salmon hold? Weird.
