I've mapped my dream world. There are a few real places that I visit in my dreams on a regular basis,  Maunalua Bay is one place that is prominently featured. Adjustments include an actual shore break and a clean ocean like Sandy's. Face left after Summer St. intersects Kalanianioli Hwy, and you will see two ridges. In-between the two ridges  there is a rock outcropping that resembles a car balanced on a wedge. This is called 57 Chevy. Drive to the top of the ridge that is on the right side of the car and walk for about a mile and a half through the iron woods that whisper a soft whistle. The path after the lush orchids either turns left or heads uphill more to the right. Turn to the left to enter the moonscape.

Trials of humanity have been won by battles fought against fear to summit the roof of the 57 Chevy. The roof is not a summit by any means, but it is a place where as you stand you feel cold by the breath of Oahu's mountain thermals countered by  the warmth of the people around you who have also fought fear and won. Below you and around you are clouds. The soft moist air embraces and leaves without a touch. Cold is balanced by the heat of the oceans beaches below.

I've stood on top of this roof with a handful of people all of which are my lifetime friends. I am attached to them by the love of this and many more experiences.

Strange topography in my dreams makes Colorado and the mountain passes with its white boulders that stick from the ground just past the path that heads to the right and away from the moonscape. Travel even farther and eventually I find myself wandering through Kentucky. I'm most alive when I travel this route in my dreams.
