Today was Monday and the store was closed. The sky was blue with falls morning light there were  no clouds and the leaves have mostly fallen off of the trees. Matt called last night, and wanted to go golfing so took him up on it.  Most of the shots in the 12 holes we played were good shots. The kind of luck that sometimes follows you on an outing that makes you want to play golf every day. We saw balls fly weirdly through trees and had a few crushing shots off the tee. A red tailed hawk, the same bird that tried to eat (unsuccessfully) a duck last year in from of me ( A few things about killing, we all do it,  and animals must if they want to live, but for this one moment of Mr. and Mrs. Duck happily waddling through the grasses, quacking about the day, and doing harmless duck stuff  they were not about to be like the character in Natalie Merchants song Beloved Wife in front of me.) was now trying to eat a squirrel . Seven iron and my golf ball were the ones playing God this time. The ball landed next to them and the squirrel got away. Matt also got attacked by a tree two holes latter, and lost a bet on the hole after that. (Venti white chocolate mocha latte please.)

Courtney and I went to get Indian food for lunch, and cruise through the Conservatory. The fumes in the desert room were awful but it seems worth it because I am really looking forward to the new Orchid room they are in the process of building. We said hello to the fish and Spanish Moss, saw a beautiful red Ti plant and still had enough time left over to take a detour to the Kenwood Towne Center to wander through what some companies call jewelry stores. When we left the mall we left with a spring in our step and little smirks on our faces because the dream of our store and the reality of what it is becoming seemed more bright and triumphant than even this mornings light.
